The community of BRS and DirectMusic users is vast and varied. I know I've missed some useful sites; if you know of a good one, e-mail it to me. If, on the other hand, you run one of these sites and you'd rather I didn't link to it, let me know.

Amiga

If you decide you'd like to try Bars & Pipes Pro, you'll have to get an Amiga (or an Amiga emulator) first. Here's everything you'll need.

  • Amiga.com -- not gone, certainly not forgotten
  • Amiga.org -- news and forums
  • Amiga Forever -- home of Cloanto's complete Amiga emulation system for the PC
  • Aminet -- the largest source of downloadable software in the world
  • AMIthlon.com -- now this is news... a somewhat different philosophy than Amiga Forever/WinUAE -- rather than emulate an Amiga with software running on top of WinWhatever, AmigaOS XL transforms your existing PC hardware into an Amiga....
  • Amithlon.net -- and here's the home page of one of the authors
  • WinUAE -- home of the most important Amiga Forever component, the Windows Universal Amiga Emulator (you can also get MacUAE, DosUAE, and Linux UAE)

If you want your page listed here, e-mail the URL to me.

I also have received e-mail from several fine folks willing to help with technical questions. Out of courtesy for their privacy, I am not going to put their e-mail addresses up here without their express permission.

SuperJAM! and MSMP are perfect for small-scale video production. Here are some users who can help you get... er, on track with 'em.
